Hello and Welcome to my page!
My name is Adina, but most of my friends call me Dee. I was born January 21st 1978 in Rochester Michigan. Majority of my family was from Tennessee with the exception of my father who was born in Michigan. He and my mother separated when I was very young, but I was blessed with the best stepfather anyone could ask for. While I’ve lived in several different states, my hometown has always been and always will be Romeo.
From childhood up until my teen years I was a typical child who had the typical issues most teenagers do. However my late teen years and early twenties I learned a lot of hard lessons, which helped me to grow into the person I am today. I had my fair share of problems and made my fair share of mistakes with school and ended up dropping out at the age of sixteen and the years that followed held my fair share of run-ins with the law. Thankfully those years are far behind me and I’ve learned and grown a great deal from them.
At the age of 27 I left Michigan and spent several months in Tennessee with my biological father whom I hadn’t seen in over twenty years. As it turned out, I had a stepbrother and half sister whom I adored, and as for my father, I discovered he suffered a greater loss than I had when he left as he hadn’t changed from the abusive useless man he was so many years earlier when I was a child.
Since then I met and married the love of my life, Don, who has two daughter’s, Jewela who is ten and Joy who is going to be nine in October. They are the cutest girls one could imagine. Jewela is somewhat outgoing and reminds me a lot of myself when I was her age, whereas Joy is her complete opposite and tends to be rather shy and reserved.
In the past two years, given my personal experiences with growing up in a blended family, I’ve become very active in supporting others who are in similar situations. I own/operate a website for those who are dealing with the family courts here in Michigan, as well as I operate support groups for stepparents, and am active in numerous groups and organizations which fight for the rights of parents and children. I’m also proud to say that with a lot of hard work and determination I was able to earn the necessary credits I needed to obtain my high school diploma and have since enrolled in a career school program and hope to obtain my certification as a legal secretary sometime within the next year or so, and who knows what I will pursue after that.
Besides being extremely active in my groups, organizations, and research, I also enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and numerous other activities such as camping, hiking, geocaching, disc golf, reading, writing, and the list goes on. I'm also obsessed with Marilyn Monroe, Frogs, and am a self-proclaimed Coffeeholic and a junk food junkie. lol
I’m a fairly easy going person, but once you’re on my bad side, you’re pretty much there for good, but that is something that I am working on as I know forgiving is extremely important in life. I’d like to think that I am easy to get along with otherwise and I’ve been told that I’m easy to talk to and extremely open-minded, but you can form your own opinion as far as that goes. I’m also extremely honest and opinionated to a fault, and I’m known for saying exactly what I think and tend to tell it like it is.
With that being said, if there is anything else you would like to know, please feel free to ask and I just might answer ;-)
